Kaizer Chiefs head coach Fernando da Cruz reflected on Amakhosi’s exit from the CAF Confederations Cup in the second preliminary round.

Da Cruz expressed disappointment with his side’s missed chances, saying they lost because they squandered opportunities in front of goal before losing 3-2 on penalties.

Amakhosi’s head coach also touched on compounding injuries and Bruce Bvuma replacing Renaldo Leaner after a late finger injury. Despite missing around five players due to injury, Da Cruz is able to take positives from the performance.

In terms of protecting players from fan scrutiny, Da Cruz urges the Khosi Nation to lift the players and back the team during this low moment, with the Carling Knockout round of 16 against TS Galaxy and the Soweto derby against Orlando Pirates looming.
