Chiefs already plugged in Soweto Derby projections

With the fingers needing to be counted for the matches that Kaizer Chiefs will play in domestic competition before the Soweto derby, now on one hand, the top-selling fixture already has eyes on it in the AmaKhosi dressing room.
Chiefs have three league fixtures and one cup match to play before they face Orlando Pirates on October 31.

Those games are Polokwane City on Saturday, then Golden Arrows on September 20, Stellenbosch FC (October 17), and then the Carling Knockout first round (October 24/27).
What will be hard to ignore is that the fifth match on the local calendar after these four is against Bucs, the biggest match on the calendar.
Suspensions and injuries will be under the microscope leading up to this fixture, which has already had two players making bookings for family to travel that weekend.
The double cautions list already has Inacio Miguel and Siphesihle Ndlovu, putting them at two yellows away from suspension.
Those already on a card each include Pule Mmodi, Luke Baartman, Langelihle Phili, Thabo Moloisane, and Brandon Petersen.
The injuries front, headlined by Rushwin Dortley, is where it will be interesting.
Dortley will hope to be back in action by then, just like Paseka Mako, Nkanyiso Shinga, Reeve Frosler, Thabiso Monyane, Flavio Silva, and Phili, who have all had injury issues in recent weeks.
For the last derby played in April, Chiefs escaped all suspension risks that had been looming ahead of the fixture.
Amakhosi have had four players sitting on three yellow cards for over a month, but all avoided adding a fourth suspension, which would have then led to suspension.
Flavio Silva, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Mfundo Vilakazi, and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo made up that quartet.
Silva played seven games without any caution while Vilakazi cruised his way through six with Ndlovu negotiating his way past four.
There will also be the second round of CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers on October 16-18 and October 23-25 against either Red Arrows or Rouge of Madagascar.
Cards issued in CAF matches are not related to domestic competition.
