Breaking: Top SA Politician In Serious trouble
eNCA reports that the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria allowed media to hear witness testimony in former Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula’s corruption trial but banned filming or broadcasting the witnesses.
Mapisa-Nqakula faces 12 counts of corruption and money laundering for allegedly soliciting R4.5 million in kickbacks, including R2.1 million in cash, from defense contractor Nombasa Ntsondwa-Ndhlovu while serving as Defence Minister.
The state claims she used traditional code words such as “imphepho,” a South African herb linked to rituals, to request payments tied to SANDF logistics contracts.
