Boy charged with brutal rape, robbery, and murder of Farm owner Valarie Enziar in
A 17-year-old boy faces charges of brutal rape, robbery, and murder of 79-year-old Valarie Enziar, an equestrian who lived on her farm (Doringkloof) near Ladismith / Van Wyksdorp in the Western Cape, South Africa.
The attack reportedly happened around 14 July 2025. The victim was assaulted, raped, strangled, and robbed (items taken included a horse, cellphone, laptop, and other belongings). Her body was found by a farm worker.
The suspect is from the local area (Van Wyksdorp) and was linked to the crime partly through using the victim’s bank cards afterward. He cannot be named publicly because he is a minor.
