AmaZulu FC star Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has broken his silence following an incident involving Orlando Pirates midfielder Sihle Nduli during Wednesday’s Betway Premiership clash in Durban.
Ngwenya caught Nduli with a heavy challenge during the 1-1 draw between Usuthu and the Buccaneers, with the Pirates midfielder forced off in the second half.

The incident came on a difficult night for Nduli, who had only just made his long-awaited return to action after missing time with an injury suffered during the first round of last season.
The 30-year-old was stretchered off in the 55th minute following the challenge, with the nature of the incident immediately raising concern as his leg appeared to take the full force of the tackle.
The midfielder’s reaction and the way he was taken from the field made the injury look particularly serious, raising fears that he could now face another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Ngwenya has since apologised to his fellow footballer, making it clear that he did not intend to cause harm with the challenge while wishing Nduli a speedy recovery.
“I am sorry, my brother, for what happened. I did not do it intentionally,” Ngwenya said.
“I hope you have space in your heart to forgive me. Speedy recovery.”
Nduli’s latest injury comes as a major blow after he had finally returned to competitive action, but Pirates have yet to provide an update on the severity of the injury or indicate how long he could be sidelined.
Given the nature of the incident, however, there could be concern that Nduli may once again spend a significant period away from action.
The Buccaneers have remained in Durban following the draw as they prepare for their next Betway Premiership encounter against Chippa United at Kings Park Stadium on Sunday.
