French Probe into Nathi Mthethwa’s Death Closed

French authorities have closed their investigation into the death of former minister and ambassador Nathi Mthethwa.

Mthethwa died in Paris on 30 September last year, aged 58.

Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi said the Paris Prosecutor’s Office’s findings confirm the cause of death previously communicated by the Mthethwa family.

The Justice Department has now received the documents required by the Master of the High Court, allowing the administration and finalisation of his estate to proceed.
