Soccer Laduma can reveal struggling Premiership side Marumo Gallants have a new member in their technical team.
This publication has been informed by sources at the club that the players have been introduced to Sundra Govender, who will work alongside head coach Phuti Mohafe.
Mohafe is also assisted by Musa Bilankulu, who joined the club at the beginning of the season.
“The management informed us before the game against TS Galaxy that Sundra is back with us. We were training before that match. They didn’t mention his exact position,” said a source at the club, who preferred anonymity.
Govender was not on the bench when Marumo lost 3-2 to TS Galaxy at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Tuesday evening. However, he’s expected to take his place alongside Mohafe and Bilankulu moving forward.
He was previously with Marumo Gallants, meaning he’s rejoining the club. He was more recently at the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, The Bees.
Govender and club spokesperson Rufus Matsena couldn’t be reached for a comment.
Marumo Gallants are currently placed 15th on the PSL standings, having lost three of their first four matches, with the other match being a draw.
