Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has fired a warning shot at Mamelodi Sundowns, declaring that the Glamour Boys fear nobody ahead of their heavyweight league clash.
Miguel acknowledged Sundons’ status as a dominnt force on the continent but insisted they have the capacity to orchestrate a collection of three points.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference at Naturena on Thursday, the Angolan laid down the marker before the two footballing giants lock horns at FNB Stadium on Saturday.

“We have to respect the fact that Sundowns won the CAF Champions League, but at the same time we are Kaizer Chiefs, and we fight for our goals, and we fear no one! It doesn’t matter if they are champions of the league or the Champions League,” declared Miguel.
“Although it’s very early, I think it’s important to start on the right foot, and in that way we can give confidence to ourselves and our supporters.
“We haven’t achieved anything yet, and we understand that it’s a long journey, but we have a lot to achieve this season.”
Amakhosi head into the blockbuster fixture in good league form, sitting top of the standings following a 2-0 victory over Sekhukhune United on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the visitors come into the fixture on the back of a hard-fought 3-2 win against TS Galaxy in Mpumalanga.
The last meeting between these two rivals ended in a fiercely contested 1-1 draw at Loftus Versfeld Stadium back in May, denting Sundowns’ hopes of a ninth consecutive league title.

A victory for the Naturena-based outfit will cement their position at the summit of the log, particularly after second-placed Orlando Pirates stumbled to a 1-1 draw against AmaZulu FC midweek.
