ActionSA says its wants to bring back dignity to residents of the Central Karoo region in the Western Cape. The party has announced its mayoral candidates for the region ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections.

Japie van der Linde will contest Beaufort West, Beverley Foster, Laingsburg and Kiewiet Baadjies will stand in Prince Albert.

Contesting the mayoral position for the district municipality is Schaun Meyers.

The district municipality was run by the Patriotic Alliance’s (PA) Gayton McKenzie in 2021, until it was taken over by the ANC through coalition agreements.
