Golden Arrows assistant coach Ashley Makhanya spoke to the media after overseeing the Durban-based side’s 4-0 thrashing of Chippa United in the Carling Knockout Cup round of 16 at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Makhanya praised goalscorers Junior Dion, Sabelo Sithole, Nhlanhla Zwane and Jerome Karelse for their contributions in front of goal and spoke at length about the application from his players on a picturesque Saturday afternoon in Umlazi.

Makhanya also opened up about working with newly appointed head coach Mandla Ncikazi, explaining that both the players and technical staff will learn a lot from the former Orlando Pirates coach’s pedigree and experience at the club.
