Alleged Cattle Thief Injured After Being Charged by Cow on Cape Town Farm, CCTV Footage Shows

Cape Town, Western Cape — July 27, 2026

A suspected cattle thief was allegedly injured after being charged by a cow during an attempted livestock theft at a farm outside Cape Town,

The incident occurred late at night when a man allegedly entered a fenced cattle enclosure. CCTV footage from the farm reportedly shows the individual moving among the livestock before one of the cows suddenly charged toward him.

In the video he seems to have been impaled on his balls

The video allegedly captures the suspect being knocked to the ground by the animal before nearby farm workers, alerted by the commotion and security alarms, rushed to the scene. The suspect was reportedly unable to continue fleeing after the encounter.

Emergency medical personnel and members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) responded shortly afterward. The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment while remaining under police guard.

According to the report, farm owners provided CCTV recordings to investigators, who are also examining whether the suspect may have been linked to previous incidents of livestock theft in the area.
