Bafana Confirm Double Injury Blow For Egypt Clash
Bafana Bafana have confirmed that two players will miss Sunday’s international friendly against Egypt.
Pitso Mosimane will finish off his first international break with the team in Cairo on Sunday evening.
However, the South Africans will be without the services of midfielders Teboho Mokoena and Bathusi Aubaas.
“The midfield will be the biggest challenge for Mosimane as Bathusi Aubaas and Teboho Mokoena are out with injuries and will play no part on Sunday,” SAFA stated.
Mokoena picked up an injury late in the win over Guinea last weekend, which ruled him out of Wednesday’s big win over Eritrea.
Aubaas, meanwhile, came in for Mokoena on Wednesday evening, but his evening ended after 12 minutes as he picked up injury.
Mosimane is now expected to make changes for the encounter on Sunday.
Egypt, meanwhile, will be without talisman Mohamed Salah and OGC Nice defender Mohamed Abdelmonem.
