Two suspects, aged 29 and 35, have been shot dead after police seized drugs worth an estimated R3 million during a raid at a bed and breakfast in Langverwacht, Kuils River, Cape Town.
Members of the Anti-Economic Crime Task Team acted on information about alleged drug activity early on Monday morning.
Police searched a VW Polo parked outside the suspects’ room and discovered 51 bags of mandrax tablets, five kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and R17 000 in cash believed to be proceeds of crime.
