Bulgarian Coach Explains Failed Move To Gallants!

Dimitar Pantev has opened up to Soccer Laduma and offered an explanation about the failed deal with Betway Premiership side Marumo Gallants.

The former Simba SC and Gaborone United mentor looked to have concluded the deal when he travelled from Botswana to South Africa to meet with Marumo Gallants’ management.

However, the two parties couldn’t reach an agreement, and Pantev has since returned to Gaborone.

“We talked. We couldn’t confirm. We wish each other good luck… that’s all. I think that they already appointed a new coach (Ronnie Kanalelo),” he told this publication.

“They invited me there. We decided that it’s better to sit, talk and discuss face to face. There was no agreement from before. In the end, there were too many differences,” said Pantev, who refused to go into details.

Asked if he would be looking for another move to South Africa, Pantev added, “I don’t hope for anything. If the offer comes and I am available, I am ready to discuss.

The 50-year-old made his name in Botswana, where he also guided Orapa United, before the move to Tanzanian giants Simba.
