The study, which surveyed 3,600 respondents between March and April, indicates a shifting political landscape in the Eastern Cape. While the African National Congress (ANC) maintains a lead at 38%, the EFF’s growth to 27% positions it as a major contender in the upcoming municipal contest.

The latest research highlights that the political dynamics in Buffalo City are becoming increasingly competitive, with the EFF making substantial inroads into traditional support bases.
