After they snatched his phone, he fought back and managed to take their gun away. He drove his car over one of the youths and retrieved his phone. Afterwards, he reportedly handed the gun over to the police.

Officers received information regarding the whereabouts of a wanted suspect, who was involved in the hijacking/robbing of a black Mercedes-Benz, on Ntshengu Street.

CCTV captured the suspects, who were travelling in a black Hyundai Staria with tinted windows.

Anyone with information that could help locate the vehicle or identify the suspects is urged to contact the police.

On Wednesday afternoon, detectives and Visible Policing members received information that the suspect was hiding in Msinga.

Police followed up information which led them to a homestead an Ngcengeni area in Msinga where the woman was hiding. The suspect was arrested and will be handed over to police in Gauteng for further handling.
