Mamelodi Sundowns scored with the final kick of the game to rescue a 1-1 draw against Chippa United, who remain without a win in the Betway Premiership.

Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso brought Fawaaz Basadien, Thapelo Morena and Grant Kekana back into the side after the win over Siwelele FC on Wednesday evening, while Letlhaku kept his spot in the starting line-up.
Cardoso had complained about the change of venue earlier this week, but the supporters came out in their numbers at the Buffalo City Stadium to create a lively atmosphere from the early stages of the encounter.
The Brazilians dominated from the onset as the Chilli Boys defended with all 11 players behind the ball, but they almost got through before the 20-minute mark via Brayan Leon’s volley but goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali pulled off a fine save.
Cardoso knew that patience would be the order of the day as Brandon Truter’s men were intent playing deep for most of the contest while using the pace of Justice Figareido, similarly to what they did against Orlando Pirates last month.
Coach Cardoso responded with a change at the start of the second half by introducing Cassius Mailula to freshen up the attack in place of Letlhaku, who had been kept quiet by Chippa’s Imraan Jones.
The Chilli Boys got a rare chance to break the deadlock on 70 minutes when the speedy Figareido slipped down the left side of the box, but Morena popped up with a vital block to deny the Chippa winger in the box.
Chippa were not made to rue that miss as they took the lead with 13 minutes left on the clock after substitute Sirgio Kammies scored with his first touch by turning home Mfecane’s low cross with a lovely finish.
Truter’s charges were unable to see out the closing stages though as substitute Antonio van Wyk popped up with the equaliser in the fourth minute of time added on with a close-range volley after a poor punch from Nwabali.
