Poster-boy Mofokeng dazzles in Union SG new third-kit

Royale Union Saint-Gilloise have now released their new third kit, with Relebohile Mofokeng being one of the stars featured in the photoshoot.

Union SG have dropped a stunning new green third kit for the 2026/27 season, with South African star Relebohile Mofokeng among the players selected to model the fresh strip.

The Brussels club launched the shirt to coincide with the centenary of the stadium’s historic West Stand, which celebrates 100 years this weekend. The stand’s listed façade, featuring historic bas-reliefs, has regained its former grandeur following renovations carried out by the Brussels-Capital Region and the municipality of Forest.

The new shirt, produced in collaboration with Union’s apparel partner O’Neills, draws inspiration from the stadium’s unique integration into Duden Park.

The green colour of the shirt reflects the stadium’s proximity to the park, while the trees surrounding the ground are said to contribute to the unique views and atmosphere inside the stadium.

The sleeve also features the words ‘Au parc Duden’, embroidered as another tribute to the park, which holds a special place in the hearts of Union supporters.

For Mofokeng, who continues to make his mark in Belgian football following his move from Orlando Pirates, being chosen to front the launch of the new kit is yet another sign of his growing prominence at the Joseph Marien Stadium.
