Fresh Update On Chiefs Defender’s Proposed Loan Move

Gomora United chairman Joe Seanego has given an update on the situation of Kaizer Chiefs Xolani Cossa after the defender’s name was not mentioned as one of the players who have been loaned out by Amakhosi.
Amakhosi confirmed that Samkelo Zwane, Bontle Molefe, Ofentse Kgosana, Vicky Mkhawana and Sifiso Timba have been loaned out to clubs in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, but the name of Cossa was not mentioned, despite the fact that he has been training with Gomora during pre-season.
Cossa spoke exclusively to Soccer Laduma about his loan move to Gomora after a friendly match they played against Zambian side Green Buffaloes, explaining how the period away from Naturena is going to help him.
The left-sided centre-back spent last season on loan to Botswana Premier League side Black Lions FC.
“Yes (he is with Gomora). We are waiting for Chiefs to finalise the paperwork,” Seanego said to Soccer Laduma.
Cossa was not included in the travelling squad for Gomora ahead of their opening Championship match against Hungry Lions.
The club is already in Upington to prepare for the clash against Lions, and Cossa is not on the list of players who have made the trip for the league opener, having to wait a little longer to make his first appearance for the club.
Timba, meanwhile, has travelled with the team and is expected to be in the starting line-up for the opening match of the campaign.
