What did Julius Malema say about Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s podcast? Read here
EFF leader Julius Malema has publicly contrasted the content of MacG’s ‘Podcast and Chill’ with the ‘African Renaissance Podcast’ hosted by former EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, praising the latter for its substantive discussions.
At least Mbuyiseni (Ndlozi) gave you something to listen to. If you want to learn something, he calls people there of stature who think, who talk sense. I was watching him yesterday with that former police commissioner, the white guy.
Malema expressed his disapproval of MacG’s platform, questioning why critical thinkers would follow it and accusing the podcast of depoliticising the youth. He criticised the platform for focusing on entertainment and personal attacks rather than meaningful political discourse.
He wears flip-flops and insults and attacks every black person, attacks Minnie Dlamini, attacks all of these things. And what is that?
In contrast, Malema highlighted the ‘African Renaissance Podcast’—produced by the Thabo Mbeki Foundation—as an example of content that explores African politics, history, economics, and culture through long-form discussions with academics and public figures. Malema’s endorsement has been noted by observers as a contributing factor to the growth of Ndlozi’s podcast, which recently reached 100,000 subscribers.
