Lamola fires back at Dlamini-Zuma over vote-buying claims
JOHANNESBURG – ANC Veteran and former Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has accused Ronald Lamola and Fikile Mbalula of dishing out money ahead of the 2017 and 2022 ANC Elective Conferences. In an interview on Mbuyiseni Ndlozi’s podcast, Dlamini-Zuma said money played a role in what she thought was a sure-win for her campaigns.Lamola has taken to social media denying any involvement in alleged vote-buying at the ANC’s 54th National Conference in 2017.He said he has noted Dlamini-Zuma’s remarks with concern and disappointment. In the statement, he requested, in what he called a ‘comradely manner’, for Dlamini-Zuma to retract the words, as it would pain him to take legal action against her.
