Zero Minutes: Kruger explain Ntwari’s lack of game-time

Kruger United sporting director Elasto Kapowezha has provided a comprehensive explanation regarding Fiacre Ntwari’s limited playing time at the club.
Although Ntwari was signed to bring veteran presence in goal, the 26-year-old Rwanda international is currently competing for the first-choice goalkeeper position.
He was unable to participate in the recent match against Amakhosi due to work permit delays but was listed as an unused substitute in matches against Marumo Gallants FC and Milford FC.
Presently, Ntwari is on loan at the Mpumalanga-based club from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, with the loan extending until the end of the current season. To date, he has not featured in any matches for The Village Boys, as Souke Dandijou remains the first-choice goalkeeper.
Kapowezha stated that Ntwari’s limited playing time is attributable solely to the technical staff’s tactical decisions.
“Ntwari has been serving as a deputy to Dandijou. He has been registered with the team and has been considered for selection in the last two matches after obtaining his work permit,” Kapowezha explained to KickOff.
“He is part of the squad and the technical team can select him whenever they determine it necessary.”
