Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has showered praise on new signing Gamphani Lungu, who netted his second goal for the Buccaneers in a 3-0 beating of Chippa United.
The 27-year-old Zambian forward, who arrived from Siwelele ahead of the season, opened the floodgates with a brilliant individual strike exactly on the hour mark at HollywoodBets Kings Park Stadium on Sunday.

Ouaddou expressed satisfaction with how efficiently the attacker has hit the ground running under his technical setup.
The goal marks Lungu’s second strike in four appearances for the Sea Robbers, building on his dramatic debut winner in the MTN8 quarterfinals.

The tactical Moroccan mentor highlighted that Lungu is just one of several exciting new attacking reinforcement options brought into the squad, giving the defending league champions tremendous depth and unpredictability in the final third of the pitch.
“You can guess that I’m a happy coach when we find the net, because I’ve been asking for efficiency since last season,” said Ouaddou.
“So, you can imagine that when the players find the net like that, I’m very happy. It helps the team.
“And to know that we can be dangerous in the last third, and that you have some players that can be very dangerous, I think it’s very good for us.
“But not only him (Lungu), but I also need to see other players as well to show themselves in this last third, because we have a lot of quality players.”

This emphatic away triumph, sealed by additional second-half goals from Lebone Seema and Daniel Msendami, has propelled Orlando Pirates to the very top of the log standings.
The Buccaneers have now collected seven points from their opening three league matches. Up next for Pirates is an MTN8 semi-final first leg against Sekhukhune United to be played on Saturdaya at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
