‘No-one can control us’: Malema clashes with Hill-Lewis during leadership debate

EFF leader Julius Malema has responded to allegations that his party is a “chaotic and corrupt” coalition partner. During a leadership debate organized by Arena Holdings, Malema clashed with Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Geordin Hill-Lewis over the integrity of his party.

Malema rejected claims that the EFF is corrupt, asserting that since the party was founded, none of its members or leaders has been convicted or charged with corruption in connection with holding office. He challenged his opponents to provide evidence for their claims.

Hill-Lewis accused the EFF of destabilizing coalitions and being involved in misconduct, while Malema defended the party’s record and referred to the work of the party’s representatives in government.
