Ramaphosa heads to eThekwini as ANC battles to win back metro

President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to visit the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality as the African National Congress (ANC) intensifies its efforts to regain full control of the metro ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

The ANC on the 4th of November will win the elections in eThekwini, we’ve prepared ourselves in every way possible in the structures from voting districts, to cells to branches, we will win on the 4th of November.

The party, which currently governs through a coalition, is facing significant pressure from opposition parties, including the MK Party and the Democratic Alliance, as it seeks to secure an outright majority in the 210-seat council.
