Stellenbosch FC Finally Confirms Agbasi Signing!
Cape side Stellenbosch FC have announced the signing of Ghanaian international goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi.
Soccer Laduma reported early in August that Stellies were looking at bolstering their goalkeeping department with the addition of Agbasi.
On Friday, the club confirmed Agbasi’s arrival in a statement.
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Ghana international goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi on a long-term deal,” stated Stellenbosch.

“Agbasi, who recently served as a travelling reserve for Ghana’s national team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America, has officially signed for Stellenbosch FC.
“The 25-year-old was previously on the books of Hearts of Oak and joins the Maroons’ goalkeeping department, where he will compete alongside Sage Stephens and Nathan Garrow.”
For his part, Agbasi said he’s looking forward to making a big impression.
“I feel very excited to be part of Stellenbosch FC. Football has always given me a place to call home, and I feel like I am at home. Everyone has welcomed me and I feel good to be here.
“I’m hoping to help the team get back to the top four in the league, and from there compete for the league and in the CAF Confederation Cup or Champions League in the coming seasons.”
He will wear the No. 16 jersey this season and could be in line to make his debut for Stellenbosch when they take on Kaizer Chiefs on 17 October.
Earlier on Friday, Stellenbosch also confirmed the signing of ex-Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom, who arrives on loan from Indonesian club, Borneo Samarinda.
