ANC shuts down rumours of early Cyril Ramaphosa exit
The African National Congress (ANC) has moved to quash growing speculation regarding the potential early departure of President Cyril Ramaphosa from office.
In a statement issued by the party’s leadership, the ANC reaffirmed its full support for the President, dismissing claims that he is preparing to step down before the end of his term.
The rumours, which have circulated on social media and within certain political circles, suggested that internal party pressure and ongoing governance challenges were forcing an early exit for the head of state.
The ANC secretary-general emphasized that the party remains focused on its mandate and that there is no truth to the reports of a leadership transition.
The ANC remains united behind President Cyril Ramaphosa and his administration as they continue to implement the party’s electoral promises.
The party urged the public and the media to disregard what it termed as malicious misinformation aimed at destabilizing the government.
