IPID registers around 300 cases of police misconduct linked to GBVF in 2025/26

Of more than 5,000 cases of police misconduct registered by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) in 2025/2026, around 300 are linked to gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF).

More than 100 cases were referrals, which were mainly domestic violence-related.
