Burkinabe midfielder Ibrahim Bance is set to return to South Africa by the end of this week to complete his next move after his departure from Marumo Gallants.

Bance attracted attention both locally and on the continent after an impressive campaign with Gallants last season, but he has made the decision to stay in the Betway Premiership.

The left-footed central midfielder is set to complete a move to Chippa United, and Soccer Laduma has been informed that the deal is expected to be finalised by the end of this weekend, with the hope that he will make his debut for the club.

Chippa have not had a good start to the season, with no victories in their first four Premiership matches of the season. While Bance is not someone they expect to be scoring goals or providing assists regularly, he is expected to add stability in the midfield while making sure the team plays.

Bance is comfortable on the ball and he could just be the man they need in the middle of the park to inspire change following their tough start to the season.

His arrival will give head coach Brandon Truter more options in midfield, with the hope that he can combine well with the likes of Goodman Mosele, Sammy Seabi and Azola Tshobeni.
