EFF launches KZN manifesto in Inanda as IFP heads for KwaMashu

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) held its KwaZulu-Natal provincial manifesto launch at the JL Dube Stadium in Inanda on Saturday, September 19, 2026, as part of its campaign for the upcoming local government elections.

The event, which featured an address by party leader Julius Malema, took place amidst heightened tensions in the area. Reports indicated that clashes occurred between EFF supporters and followers of media personality Ngizwe Mchunu, who had organized a competing event at the nearby Dube Village Sports Field.

The EFF leadership accused Mchunu of attempting to provoke the party by scheduling his event in the same vicinity on the same day. Despite the confrontations, the party proceeded with its rally to outline its vision for the province ahead of the November polls.
