Transport and Community Safety, Ms Nakedi Kekana, has expressed condolences following a fatal multi-vehicle crash last night on the N1 at Ysterberg, outside Mokopane.
Four vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision. Four people died on the scene – two drivers and two passengers. Twelve others were injured, four critically, and taken to hospital. The cause is under investigation.
On behalf of the Provincial Government, I send heartfelt condolences to the families. We wish the injured a speedy recovery.
She commended emergency personnel for their swift response. The road has been re-opened.
