EFF launches KZN manifesto in Inanda as IFP heads for KwaMashu

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is holding its KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) provincial manifesto launch at the JL Dube Stadium in Inanda on Saturday, while the African National Congress (ANC) continues its provincial campaign.

Tensions have been reported in the area, with a confrontation breaking out between EFF supporters and followers of Ngizwe Mchunu at Dube Village. It is believed that Mchunu’s group was setting up a stage for a music event in the same vicinity, which the EFF views as a deliberate provocation.

The EFF believes Mchunu recently decided to stage his event in the same area as its rally to deliberately provoke the party.

EFF spokesperson Mazwi Blose stated that the party is determined to ensure that KZN is not a “no-go area” for the organization. Party leader Julius Malema is expected to deliver the keynote address at the rally to outline the party’s vision for the province.
