Ngizwe Mchunu confirms Bhinca festival cancellation, claims EFF clash

Controversial media personality Ngizwe Mchunu has confirmed the cancellation of his highly anticipated Bhinca festival following a violent confrontation with Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters in Inanda, north of Durban.

The incident, which occurred on Friday, saw Mchunu and his security team clash with EFF members who were reportedly preparing for their own political event in the area. Tensions escalated rapidly, resulting in physical altercations and the discharge of firearms.

Ngizwe Mchunu says a member of his security team fired an AK-47 assault rifle into the air after noticing firearms among an Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) group in Inanda.

Following the chaos, Mchunu announced that the festival would no longer proceed as planned. The EFF has since opened a criminal case against Mchunu regarding the alleged shooting incident, while police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the confrontation.
