South African President Cyril Ramaphosa praises India’s leadership, says New Delhi ensured consensus on declaration

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday praised India for its leadership and organisation as BRICS chair, noting that New Delhi played a crucial role in ensuring consensus on the G20 declaration.

What India has done well was to organise an extremely well-organised summit. Organising summits is always a touch-and-go type of process.

Reflecting on India’s recent global contributions, Ramaphosa highlighted the country’s technological and agricultural advancements.

Technologically, you can see that India is moving ahead, doing many strides in agriculture. They have empowered a lot of small-scale farmers, women especially.
