Head-on collision on Oakford Road in the vicinity of Osindisweni, Verulam

One person has tragically lost their life and several others have sustained serious injuries following a head-on collision on Oakford Road in the vicinity of Osindisweni, Verulam, on Saturday.

KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services, together with multiple emergency service providers, were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a serious motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel were met with a chaotic scene, with multiple patients found scattered across the roadway suffering from serious to life-threatening injuries.

Despite the best efforts of emergency responders, one person was sadly declared deceased on scene due to the severity of their injuries.

KZN VIP Advanced Life Support paramedics, working alongside other emergency services, immediately commenced treatment and stabilization of the injured patients. Following extensive on-scene medical intervention, all surviving patients were carefully assessed, treated, and transported to various medical facilities for further medical care.

The exact circumstances leading up to the collision remain unknown at this stage and will form part of the investigation by the relevant authorities.
